Finders Keepers Hosts Charity Bag Sale

Finders Keepers is hosting their annual end of summer charity bag sale on Friday, September 26. Each customer who donates $10 will receive a large bag in which they are encouraged to fill with summer clearance merchandise from Fashions and Boutique. Proceeds from the sale will benefit Refugee Resettlement and Immigration Services of Atlanta (RRISA). The bag sale will be held at Fashions and will last from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

“As a non-profit, community support is integral in the continued success of our programs,” said Leanne Rubenstein, Associate Director of RRISA. “We could not be more grateful for the continued support and generosity of local businesses such as Finders Keepers.”

For more than ten years Finders Keepers has held two bag sales a year – one in the spring and one at the end of summer. This past spring, Finders Keepers held a two-part bag sale that raised a total of $3,200 for RRISA. Finders Keepers hopes to raise at least an additional $1,000 for RRISA at their end of summer bag sale.

“We enjoy working with non-profits such as RRISA because it allows us to give back to a community that has been so supportive of Finders Keepers over the years,” said Bonnie Kallenberg,” Owner of Finders Keepers. “Through customer support we were able to raise an amazing amount for RRISA in the spring and we hope our end of summer bag sale is just as successful.”

To visit Finders Keepers Fashions, take I-285 East to Exit #41 (Memorial Drive/GA-10 West/Cynthia McKinney Parkway) and turn right at the end of the ramp onto Memorial Drive. Turn right onto Mountain Drive and go approximately one-half mile. Turn right onto Covington Highway/US-278 and continue straight onto North Avondale Plaza. Continue on North Avondale Road and Fashions will be on the right.

RRISA works on behalf of refugees from all over the world who have escaped war, torture and threat to their way of life. RRISA helps hundreds of refugees each year start a new life in the Atlanta community by providing a welcome at the airport, basic needs items, emotional and job support, and cultural orientation.
